Success Stories

What happened on the ground?

These success stories showcase the effective approaches and positive outcomes achieved through LPLM projects.

  • The Widdis family of ‘Boondari’ Willow Tree planted trees and deep rooted perennial pastures to intercept drainage off the hills, moved farm operations back from riparian zones, fixed salt scalds and revegetated.
  • Trevor and Sharon Squires of ‘Monivae’ Curlewis linked koala habitats, grew pasture on a seriously salt-affected site and sowed deep-rooted permanent pasture to reduce salinity risk.
  • The Donaldson family of ‘Neotsfield’ Boggabri fenced off remnant vegetation and a watercourse, rectified erosion, managed salinity and established native pastures.
  • The Blomfield family of ‘Colorado’ Caroona established native and perennial pastures, and revegetated to improve biodiversity, catch water and limit salinity risk.
